K’NAF Couture has garnered a large following and has been notably featured in numerous runway shows across the United States. These include the No Limit Fashion Show in Florida as well the DC Fashion Week. KNAF Couture was the featured designer at the World Bank Group, Fair Trade Fashion Show in Washington DC, in addition to the Ghana 50th Anniversary Tribute Fashion Display at the Ghanaian Embassy. Its collections have been showcased through various media outlets such as; The ABC evening news, the Tampa Tribune, Washington Post and The Express to name a few.

The company’s CEO recently relocated the company’s home base from the United States to Ghana, West Africa, and has created quite a stir. K’NAF Couture dressed all contestants of Miss Ghana 2009 pageant and the award for best gown at the finale was a tie, both of which were K’NAF Couture gowns. K’NAF Couture was the sole Ghanaian designer at Vlisco’s newest 2010 collection showcase, the only designer along with Kofi Ansah at the Kwame Nkrumah Centenary celebration and the only designer featured at the Canoe Magazine-Greatest of all time- Launch party.

The label is already dressing such top celebrities as Anita Erskine of DSTV’S Studio 53, Ama K Abebrese, Leila Djansi,EPHYA,Irene Logan, Miss GHANA 2010, best actress winners Naa Ashorkor and Lydia Forson, Becca ,Yvone Okoro, Miss Malaika 2009 and 2010 among others, is often featured on Studio 53 and has grazed the pages of Sankofa, Business and Financial Times, Graphic Showbiz to name a few. She designs all of Joselyn Dumas’s outfits on Via Sat 1’s no 1 talk show, the ONE Show; her work as the show’s stylist has made Joselyn’s swanky outfits the talk of the country. Afriyie is an Enablis Ghana, member and Facilitator of the ACE’S.

Philantrophy...

Philanthropy is a big part of the company’s mission statement and its vibrant hope to contribute to the development of not only K’NAF Couture but the African fashion industry and economy through its commerce. The CEO held the first ever FASHION AID in May 2010 where she auctioned of the company’s latest collection to raise funds for underprivileged children with congenital heart disorder. A percentage of all K’NAF Couture merchandise sales go to the foundation for charitable endeavors. Long term plans include a school, workshops and such to employ and nurture local talent; creating jobs and mentoring women whose employment and educational experience are minimal to none.
